we were having some technical difficulties with flashdance radio (which means i had no time during the holidays!) but the signal is once again broadcasting loud and clear. in addition to the monthly rad influence series my monthly playlists will be coming to you every month once again. i have decided to make them downloads from now on because of much higher demand than i ever imagined, and the amount of waste the whole thing was producing. tell your mom, tell your pop, send the link to your long lost friend in paris, everyone needs some songs of love and hate to brighten their life. hugs. -MA

if you were lucky enough to be at this wedding you know there aren't words for the kind of awesome that happened that night. alice, sebastian, you guys are totally _______________! (sidenote: due to camera angle, this is only half of the dance floor!) hype.

i was pretty excited to open my google reader the other day and see this wedding on here (which is one of our favorite wedding blogs!) matthew & bronwen were so much fun to work for! they had their reception at the Women's Twentieth Century Club of Eagle Rock which was like a 1960's grade school auditorium (which might sound weird to some but is rad to me!) anyway they had this amazing stage with uplighting in the floor and drawn curtains and they had this huge reveal for their first dance where the curtains were drawn to reveal me spinning with a fog machine and disco ball, again, sounds fishy but there was a standing ovation! so hype.

obviously, they are beautiful, stylish, and have incredible taste!

everything about the night was magic! especially when the bridesmaids started begging me to play booty bass after the grownups left! amazing.

matt & danielle got married. we work with matt, we love danielle, this wedding was a f**kin blast for all of us who were involved. in case you missed part 1 see that here (in technicolor to see how rad their tattoos are)!

matts gifts to his groomsmen were holga cameras with film. we are waiting on a couple more rolls but the next 5 photos were taken by ray jones. anyone who has a holga knows that its pretty for daylight exposure but without light it can be a challenge. well ray rigged one of our pocket wizards to the holga for the shots below.

i was going to wait until tomorrow to post this but it has reached critical mass and i am way too pumped to wait! our good friend and colleague matt miller has had a pretty epic couple of weeks. a few months back matt got married (which is even better than the best thing ever when your friends with a ton of amazing wedding vendors) so we all went to new york to "work" his wedding in central park. more on that later, below is a teaser... so fast forward to last week and his wedding was featured on rock and roll bride which is pretty much the holy grail for a truly rock and roll couple!

on a completely unrelated subject yesterday a video that matt shot at a hardcore show in atlanta (matt is an avid hardcore fan and has photographed most of the shows that have come through the atl... you can check out more of his hardcore work here) was posted by MTV! i know?!?!?!! so the story is, at the very end of the show someone put on the Miley Cyrus’ song “Party in the USA” and the place went bananas! sweaty hardcore kids danced, hugged, and sang along to pretty much the worst song out there right now. kinda reminds me of how much all the kids ironically (it was ironically right?) loved "since you've been gone" in 2004. video below.

this video has been viewed something like 30,000 times already!!

well, as if that wasn't enough, mtv blogged about matt's photography today and posted a bunch of his live show shots, but also linked to his our labor of love wedding blog, and said that is was "so punk that he shoots weddings!" jigga wha? whoa dude, you are seriously the only photographer in the history of ever who has been repped by MTV for your street cred as a wedding photographer.

well, if you look at matt's wedding shots you'll undoubtedly agree. my man has style, and is making serious noise in the indie wedding scene, AND the hardcore straight edge scene! tell me another person who can lay claim to that!

we are thrilled to announce our WPPI party sunday march 7th at a very top secret location (sirens). we have a lot of crazy surprises in the works but you can wet your appetite with this... i'll be playing records all evening, the smilebooth will be firing photos all evening, a group of photographers (that you have definitely heard of) will be "performing" and just to name drop a little, in addition to all of us, (flashdance, our labor of love, max wanger, brian, ashley) we will be hanging with jose villa, southern weddings, and a grip of special guests that we will be announcing in the coming weeks via twitter, facebook, and our blogs. this is pretty much going to be the best party of the year (at least until we do another!), this is the only WPPI party you'll ever need! S I R E N S !

there won't be any vendor booths, gift bags, or cupcakes, nobody is going to try to sell you anything, and it won't be drenched in fluorescent lighting! there will be a bar, a dancefloor, and 500 of the industries most well know vendors, bloggers, and taste makers getting down under one (relatively small) roof. you will hang with your favorite people, (or at least our favorite people) talk, dance, drink, get sweaty, and be very happy you went! we all put it on twitter yesterday and have already sold almost half of the tickets available so please, get them now! seriously, buy them like right now because it will definitely sell out and we want you to come!. get tickets NOW wanna be a part of our party? send us an e-mail here
