I was really excited when Max told me he was budddies with Jen Gotch of ban.do because I think their one of a kind head pieces, head bands, and floral hair pieces are the coolest accessory available for a bride, or any stylish lady for that matter AND I'm a big fan of Jen's personal website www.jengotch.com. So Max set up a time and we went to their studio and had a look around, talked a bit, laughed A LOT, and Max took a few pictures.

The first thing you notice when you meet Jen & Jaime, and see their studio, is that they are artists first and foremost. They are not really business people (even though they started a small business on their own without investors or an advertising budget, which is actually making money!) they are not really fashion people (even though they have both worked as stylists, and know the industry) yet, somehow they are in the business of making accessories that are highly regarded in the fashion world! These are our favorite kind of people!

They didn't set out to be the fashion darlings of the wedding world either, it just organically happened that around 75% of their business comes from brides. (it also helps to get the cover of InStyle Weddings (on stands now), and be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings (coming soon)... Well, I for one am glad that it happened to these two girls because they are the most talented, stylish, and hilarious people I have met in quite awhile and it is rad to see the good guys win. I for one have grown far too accustomed to people in that category waiting tables!
